Michael & Amanda {Bella Valentina Photography, Zanesville, OH Wedding Photographer}
I'm finally getting around to blogging one of my favorite weddings to date! Michelle Black and I do weddings through our shared business, Allura Modern but we don't yet have a blog up & running so I really want to share these here!
Amanda was a friend of Michelle's that I'd heard about but had not yet had the pleasure of meeting. I was a little nervous at first but she quickly put me to ease with her amazing gifts of jewelry ;) She knows JUST how much I loved mine! Her friends & family were equally welcoming.... I enjoyed watching them interact & you'll see that some of my favorite moments were of just that! This was an amazing day and I'm so proud of the work we did & I hope that shows. WARNING: There are TONS of images, I just couldn't choose my favorites!!

The wedding of all weddings
Of course, all weddings are special....the ultimate declaration of love, sometimes the fruition of years of a little girls dreams. But this one...to be able to document such a day, for one of my dearest friends, was more wonderful than anything I could have imagined. To be able to watch someone I love so much finally find the love I know that he deserves is more amazing than words. To know, watching them together, that they are even more in love than most... it was breathtaking.
Thank you Dana and Arianna, for allowing me this. It was the most beautiful wedding I've ever seen. Not overdone, just simple, and beautiful, and full of love.

Sara and Dan Rankin
I recently had the pleasure of capturing the moments of a very special day, the wedding of Sara Pitcock and Dan Rankin. We all know how very stressful a wedding can be, and as photographers, often times we can see families at their most stressed on these very exciting days! This was not the case at this wedding, where everyone seemed to be relaxed and just genuinely enjoying the day.
Thank you Sara, for waiting so patiently while I work through these 100s of images!

What is your lens of choice?!
For indoor portrait work?
For outdoor portrait work?
For fashion work?
For weddings?
I tend to stick with my 50mm for most cases but I've been loving my 35 for the ability to use it when there's less room. I rarely use my 70-200, like, almost never. I always contemplate selling it to get money towards something I'll use more but I've decided that since I already have it I should keep it for the rare occasions that I may need it. And recently I was glad about that decision! I took Lourdes to Disney on Ice and what better way to get close up shots from so far away?! My only complaint is the shake issue - you almost need a tripod to use it at all.
