Studio updates!
I've been so busy with the Marketing Package release, the studio renovations and the preparations for the upcoming Portrait Competition but I finally found some time to go play in the studio! My girls were the lucky test subjects this time around lol!

Another stop on my hunt for furniture!
Many of you know that Michelle (Black) and I are down to the furnishing stage of getting our new studio together and we have been doing tons of web surfing along the way...looking for ideas, and now actually getting to start purchasing it! I'm like a kid in a candy store, looking around at all of the pretty shapes and colors! Her and I have sent each other link after link to chair after chair, after loveseat, after couch...!!! My latest find is Lombok! I just happened to run across them...they were not a company I had heard of before but the beautiful things on the front of the site enticed me (I love the feel of browns and blues!)! They offer stylish Eastern inspired furniture, lighting, and just about any other home decor you could think of, and I got lost roaming around for a while lol.
I found a super cute log basket made of all natural materials that would be perfect for our wood burner! But I think I could find quite a few other uses for it too!
And some gorgeous natural laundry baskets that I was drooling over! I love that they use recycled and natural materials whenever possible.
I wish this chair was mine too!
I started out looking for things for my studio and ended up dreaming for things for my home lol! But I keep telling myself, if the studio does well maybe I will be able to redecorate my house one day! ; ) Am I the only one that does this? Going around drooling over things that I don't have as if I really need anything else? I mean, in this case I actually do need things, for the studio, and my house furniture isn't exactly new but I did not REALLY need anything new for the house. But I might be convinced I do now! Did I mention the lamps?! ; )

I tend to stick with my 50mm for most cases but I've been loving my 35 for the ability to use it when there's less room. I rarely use my 70-200, like, almost never. I always contemplate selling it to get money towards something I'll use more but I've decided that since I already have it I should keep it for the rare occasions that I may need it. And recently I was glad about that decision! I took Lourdes to Disney on Ice and what better way to get close up shots from so far away?! My only complaint is the shake issue - you almost need a tripod to use it at all.

Seeking 2010 senior Spokes Models!!
Bella Valentina Photography is currently seeking its 2010 Senior Spokes Models! With the studio renovation nearing completion we will now have the freedom to shoot indoors as well as outdoors which I'm super excited about!
With the Senior Spokes Model Program I will accept the first Senior inquiry from each area school to receive a completely FREE custom Senior session as well 88 FREE wallets for the Senior to pass out to their friends! Each Senior that books a session based on the referral will receive 40 FREE Wallets of their choice!! And for each referral that mentions the Spokes Model's name when booking their session, our Spokes Model will be paid $20 cash!! For example, refer 5 friends for booking and you will get $100 cash!
I look forward to working with the new Seniors this year!
*UPDATE - I have my Philo Spokes Model so I'm not accepting any further Spokes Models from that school. Thanks Hannah!
